Consumer Reports does not recommend the iPhone 4
American Consumer Institute, Consumer Reports, does not recommend consumers to buy the iPhone 4. This is because; the Consumer Reports technicians who test the iPhone 4 found problems in the iPhone 4 signal reception system.
“When your finger or hand touches a point on the bottom left on the phone – an easy thing, especially for left-handed people -, the signal can be reduced drastically so that it can cause the connection is lost altogether if you are in weak signal areas. Because of this problem, we do not recommend the iPhone 4”wrote Consumer Reports.
Consumer Reports has tested three different iPhone 4 in a ‘controlled environment ‘, as well as other AT & T phone to see if the problem was in such devices or the network.
“Only the iPhone4 that has a problem of losing signal between the phone calls,” wrote Consumer Reports.
“Our findings as well as questioning Apple’s claim recently that the iPhone signal problems caused four optical illusion caused by software error ‘which is one featuring two additional lines should be displayed to indicate signal strength’.
Consumer Reports says the problem could be solved by closing the phone antenna on the left corner with a tape. “That might create ugly appearance, but it works,” wrote Consumer Reports. “Apple should find a permanent solution to the problem of antenna-free before we recommend the iPhone 4.”
Problems in signal strength and signal reception iPhone 4 arose in recent weeks.
