Microsoft CEO: Android Tablet Is Not a Threat
Microsoft underestimates the ability of Android. The world’s largest software company was found Google Android is not a competitor to be feared in the market tablet.
“When compared with the base application, the tools we have, understanding the user, the momentum and all that is happening, we could not rival it. Whatever the odd collection of features in Android, all will look the same. They do not deserve to compete with us,” Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer says, as quoted by Cellular News on Monday (02/08/2010).
“Apple is Apple. We’re still strong enough to compete with others. Still many other competitors better and want to compete with us in the segment of expensive products,” Ballmer added. According Ballmer, Microsoft is likely to be run over Android because of their experience in the software market longer, so more experienced. If talking about the experience, the fair, if Microsoft thinks they remain Apple’s biggest competitor
Yet to some analysts, could not ignore Android also let it alone. Do not even pay attention to Android as a competitor is a big mistake. Android is the operating system is mature and strong. According to Google’s data, more than 160,000 Android-based devices are activated every day. There is no reason Android cannot do the same. If Google and Apple can produce a successful tablet, it is a big threat in the long run for Microsoft’s Windows franchise.
Outside the operating system, Ballmer considered foolish enough to say the machine features a collection of Android as a ’strange’. Google’s hardware partners are the same company like Microsoft. Android tablets were made by Dell, HTC, Asus, and others, who incidentally also has a deal with Microsoft to make Windows-based tablet 7.
